“THE GOOD PHYSICIAN TREATS THE DISEASE; THE GREAT PHYSICIAN TREATS THE PATIENT WHO HAS THE DISEASE”

William Osler

HOW  DO I GET STARTED?

The decision to consult a mental health professional is never made lightly. It’s often filled with uncertainty, since it involves communicating one’s deepest concerns to somebody one hardly knows.

People coming to see me for the first time usually wonder: “Will I be able to make myself understood? Will I feel better afterwards, or worse? Is this the right person to help me? Can I trust him? Does he have the right skills? How will I know?”

I hope this website gets you started with some basic things about me, how I think, and how I work.

HOW DO I MAKE THE INITIAL APPOINTMENT?

Please call (917) 728-9992 and leave a detailed message. I will call you back and we will scheduled a first appointment for consultation. Initial visits are always on a one-time, consultation-only basis; no doctor-patient relationship is established until patient and Dr. are in agreement.

WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY?

Cancellation requires one business day notice, otherwise patient will be charged full fee.

DO YOU ACCEPT HEALTH INSURANCE?

I do not accept health insurance. You can pay by Quick pay, Cash, Check, Credit, or Debit. Payment is due at time of service unless otherwise agreed. The patient is responsible for submission of any health insurance claim for reimbursement of out-of-network outpatient medical or mental health care. Overdue payments may incur monthly interest and collections surcharges.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I HAVE AN EMERGENCY?

If you have an emergency call 911 or go to nearest emergency room.
